Another perfect morning for a game of footy at Hoe Road, Dynamos inflicted one of only two defeats for high flying CK earlier in the season, so revenge was always a possibility. Due to a clash of shirts Dynamos changed to a very light shade of red usually described by a word beginning with p ! Dynamos got off to an excellent start moving the ball around in a way which was absent last week, great play by Liam sent Jack on his way but he was outnumbered. Sam was assured at the back and stand in keeper Rob R was kicking magnificently all of the game. It was route one stuff but created good opportunities for Jack up front. Dynamos went one down with a flash back to the slack defending of last week as the CK attacker was allowed to stroll right through onto goal. CK gained the upper hand in play now and took the game to Dynamos, a CK corner was headed in for the second. Unlike last week Dynamos were playing some really good football, another great move, Liam and Ads combined to cross for Tom B who won a corner but the resulting kick was well defended. Through some excellent performances Dynamos had their act back together and the game was evenly contested today. Ben K pulled off a great saving tackle to deny the CK forward, a flowing left sided move by Ads and Luke set Jack free, he won a corner but again no luck. Play was end to end and good to watch.
Once again at half time it was all still to play for, and once again right from the re-start Dynamos allowed their opponents a free invitation to run straight through on goal and found themselves three down ! Dynamos were still looking good going forward, Ads was getting well forward and finding Jack running on and another corner was won, this time headed just over by Rob P, Ben K Jack combined well and created a shooting opportunity for Rob P who forced the keeper to save. Dynamos went further behind after another offside mix -up in defence. Arun M found himself clean through from a head on by Jack but his shot slid just wide of the left post. Dynamos won yet another corner, once again Tom B flighted it over but this time it was met perfectly by Jack who headed home and was accidentally punched in the face by the keeper for his trouble too. Play was impressively even right to the end notably Ben K putting in a couple of brilliant tackles to protect Rob in goal and neutralise a late CK attack.
Manager Adam was well pleased with the much improved performance over last week even if the score was the same, Jim, Luke and Liam were picked out for their efforts today, Ben K was man of the match.
