Match report

South Wonston U15 - 4
Bishops Waltham Dynamos U15B - 1
Testway League U15 Division 2

A short trip to South Wonston and really good conditions for playing and spectating, South Wonston (SW) had a new look about their team compared to earlier in the season and they were quickly on top of Dynamos, JT was busy early on but also in control. Already there was end to end football, Dynamos won a corner but no luck, SW attacked in waves, Dynamos had another corner this time Luke's header went just wide. A big difference in the teams began to show as SW were first to everything and showed by far the greater desire to be in possession of the ball. But play was also really scrappy as neither team had much shape and vast open spaces began to appear in midfield, unusually for a first half. SW took the lead when their forward beat the offside and left JT no chance. Moments later it was two as Dynamos failed to show any attempt at tackling. Towards the end of the half SW were all over Dynamos who were in the process of producing their most ineffective performance of the season, SW had the run of the field, Dynamos were failing to put a challenge in anywhere. Totally against the run of play Dynamos pulled one back, Sam flighted a free kick into the area, Luke won the header and Jack volleyed in. So at half time it was 2-1 and everything to play for.
Unfortunately SW were able to take this on board and Dynamos were not. Within a couple of minutes of the re-start Dynamos went further behind as SW were effectively invited to score. Going forward Dynamos still had some success, another corner threw up a chance for Tom L but his shot flew over the bar. Max put a good surging run together to give Jack a half chance but the ball went wide. Tom B hit a free kick just over the bar. On another day the score would have been level but nothing was going Dynamos way, on top of the general lack of effort. Tom B and Ads both tried long range shots, Ads just wide and Tom forcing a save from the keeper. SW added another near the end to complete a miserable morning for Dynamos who were probably glad it was over.
Manager Adam was suitably unimpressed, his comments being largely un-printable. JT was man of the match for keeping us in the game in the first half, because at half time Dynamos were in this game still.
