Match report

Bishops Waltham Dynamos U16 - 6
Fordingbridge U16 - 0
Testway League U16 Division 2

Lovely morning at Hoe Road as we squeeze our team onto the new 'slim spec' pitch. Fordingbridge got things rolling but, unusually, it was Dynamos who were first to get into their stride. A second minute corner floated across by Jordan was headed over the bar by Jack, this early pressure was followed up with an excellent move to open the scoring, Matt threaded a ball into Jack who came at the goal on the left of the area and smashed the ball past the keeper at the near post. So 1-0 after three minutes, really from this point on Fordingbridge were on the back foot. Jordan attacked down the left to great effect in this half and was very instrumental in Dynamos first half dominance as he created many chances for himself and others. Tim also put in a fine performance covering all of the middle of the pitch and flinging in some of his monster throws, indeed the next goal came from one such long throw into the area, Jordan had a shot deflected and Jack was on hand to bury the rebound for 2-0. Soon after, Jordan smashed the ball against the bar from a long way out, another Tim long throw directly onto the penalty spot was headed in by Jordan. So, after seventeen minutes it was 3-0. Predictably, Dynamos eased off without really meaning to, this allowed Fordingbridge into unfamiliar territory but their first attack fizzled out for a goal kick. Fordingbridge began to battle some more after a re-shuffle of personnel but it was still Dynamos who were passing well, their defence never really looked troubled. There were twenty six minutes on the clock before Fordingbridge managed a shot on target, but from long range and nothing to actually worry JT. The remainder of the half saw chances for Matt, Jordan and Jack, the latter on the back of a fine passing move involving Sam, Tim and Matt. A point to note from this half was the large tally of corners won and how little became of them in general. Half time arrived.
In keeping with the rules Dynamos kicked the second half into action, almost immediately the passing was flowing again down the left, Tim flung a throw across onto Ben K's head but the header flew just wide of the left upright. Joe fired over from long range, a couple of Jordan corners and one by Jack all pass by with no end product, meanwhile, the far more effective Tim long throw created a chance initially for Matt who was unlucky to see his effort hit a defender, and another throw which evaded everyone to bounce inside the area where Jack was first to react and headed home bravely as the keeper came out. This fourth goal really sealed the match for Dynamos who could coast from here, the game continued to follow a familiar pattern though, Joe and Aaron both had chances, the former hitting the bar and the latter forcing the keeper to save. Yet another Tim long throw was flicked on by Jack from near post to far post area where Ben K saw his flick come off a defender to wrong foot the keeper and fly into the net for a five goal lead. Another string of fruitless Dynamos corners leads Joe to take matters into his own hands as he calmly curls the next one straight over the keeper and inside the far post for the sixth goal. Aaron created a chance for himself, some great persistence won him the ball and was unlucky to see his chip go just over the bar. A trademark run by Matt beat two or three defenders for pace but his shot is parried by the keeper and he blasts the rebound over the bar. Full time.
A totally dominant Dynamos display today, proving the great potential shown last week. After the game manager Adam ran out of compliments to dish out, everybody played well, Rob R was man of the match for the huge progress he has shown today.
